Responsibilities include writing content and working with Technical staff to edit their content and assist with revision and publication. Documents include technical guidance, technical reports, manuals, website content, responses to public comments, proposals etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and Edit a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses
  • Coordinate the production of document, reports, briefings, proposals
  • Ensures content is of high quality and conforms to standards
  • Creating technical documents, including guidance, manuals, reports, website content, and response to public comments
  • Coordinate the production of graphics
  • Explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Work with other staff to ensure accuracy of written descriptions
  • Provide feedback to subject matter experts on their writing in a way that enables them to revise effectively
  • Work with technical staff to ensure key points come across clearly and are not lost within important but relatively minor details
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit technical guidance, technical reports, operational procedures, and technical manuals, as well as web pages
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
  • Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses

Qualifications

Required

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • 3-5 yrs work experience in writing, publishing or quality assurance related work
  • Interest in IT related work and topics
  • Proficient with MS Office, Google Docs and Office365

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
