Thorben Consulting is seeking a dynamic and Detail-oriented Junior SAP Financial Management and Grant Management Consultant with 5 years of experience supporting SAP ECC environments, specializing in funds management, grants management, and financial process documentation. Skilled in analyzing existing workflows, standardizing procedures, and developing comprehensive guidance manuals for enterprise financial operations. Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating technical SAP processes into clear, actionable documentation for business users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document SAP ECC Funds Management and Grants Management end-to-end processes.
  • Support development of the Funds and Grants Management Manual for enterprise business users.
  • Map financial workflows including fund sources, grants lifecycle, commitments, and budgeting.
  • Interview SMEs and functional owners to gather requirements and clarify process rules.
  • Develop clear and concise procedures, guidance, and job aids for finance teams.
  • Review SAP ECC configuration and transaction paths to ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Identify process gaps and assist in standardizing operating procedures across departments.
  • Maintain version control and ensure documentation meets audit and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Documented end-to-end SAP ECC Funds Management and Grants Management processes for enterprise-wide operations.
  • Contributed to the development of a comprehensive Funds and Grants Management Manual, including workflows, controls, and compliance expectations.
  • Partnered with financial analysts and business owners to capture fund-source requirements and translate them into standardized guidance.
  • Improved clarity and adoption of financial procedures through consistent document formatting and process mapping.
  • Assisted in validating SAP ECC FM/GM processes and ensuring documentation accuracy across teams.
